How EdgePro works

Four steps from setout to strip. Safe, simple, quick.

Instructions For Use

EdgePro formwork braces are designed to make formwork bracing SAFE, SIMPLE, QUICK and EASY. Reading and adhering to these instructions will maximise usability and efficiency with the EdgePro brace.

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions and recommendations may result in improper use of product and/or may cause property damage and will void any warranties, implied or otherwise.

DO NOT USE EdgePro on SOFT, ROCKY or LOOSE ground surfaces, OR at temperatures below -20 °C or above +45 °C.

Step 1: Prepare and Attach

Establish and mark the perimeter line of the concrete edge. Attach the EdgePro brackets to edgeboards (not included) with suitable fasteners and place them to the perimeter line.

Step 2: Anchor to Surface

Anchor edgeboards and EdgePro brackets to the surface with the fastener that matches your surface type:

Surface Anchor with
Concrete FixEdge Concrete Bolt M12 or FixEdge Z-Bar Concrete Bolt M12
Plywood / Timber Hexhead screws (30mm to 100mm) or coach screws
Dirt / Granular bedding / Sand FixEdge Ground Screw Anchor and FixEdge StarPeg Anchor
Metal Weld lugs or threaded bar, locked in place with the FixEdge Z-Bar Locknut

Step 3: Adjust and Strip

Adjust and plumb the EdgePro brackets to suit, prior, during and after concrete is placed, by winding the EdgePro turnbuckle either way.

After concrete completion, strip the EdgePro brackets in this sequence:

  1. Wind the EdgePro turnbuckle away from the concrete member to create a gap between edgeboard and concrete member. This reduces the need to crowbar or prise the formwork edgeboards from the concrete and break or damage the concrete member.
  2. Remove the vertical fixings connecting brace and edgeboard.
  3. Remove the horizontal fixings from brace and ground surface.

Step 4: Clean and Store

Clean any concrete or foreign objects from the EdgePro brackets. Stack them for space-efficient storage and store them in a dry, suitable environment.
